STEPPING STONES SERVICES - ABOUT US
Founded in 1994 as Affirmative Dynamic Industries (ADI) with support from the North Bay Psychiatric Hospital, and operated by survivors of mental health challenges, ADI’s woodworking and picture framing store, ‘The Wood Shoppe’, was well known until it closed in April 2012. ADI is now re-named Stepping Stones Services.

Now led by a non-consumer Board of Directors, Stepping Stones Services continues to be a community-based, not-for-profit organization that provides information, training, and meaningful, supportive employment to part time employees with lived experience of the mental health system.
​Our employees provide high quality services including snow removal, lawn and garden maintenance, commercial and residential cleaning, and small scale removals throughout North Bay.
​
Stepping Stones Services also runs a gift store and custom picture framing and matting service. The new Stepping Stones store and Prestige Picture Framing and Matting Services, at 1428 O’Brien Street, North Bay, will open in June 2013.
